If you’re here, reading this post, it’s likely that social change is an important topic to you. Whether you work in a non-profit organization, have founded a social enterprise, donate your time or resources to your favorite charity or simply consider yourself a “do-gooder,” positive social change is critical to our collective future.
This week, we’re highlighting two organizations that inspire and enable you to make positive social change. Though the actions may seem small, they lead to big change.
Daily Feats
The jist? Small changes lead to big change.
“Making positive action part of everyday life.”

Using the app and/or site, you can record your positive actions—from taking your daily vitamins to helping out in a volunteer project. Upon recording your “feats,” you earn points. And those points add up to rewards, like discounts and coupons to local businesses as well as national companies. (Past rewards have included gift cards for iTunes and Starbucks, or coupons for American Airlines and Gaiam.)
We think that a little bit of accountability and community support are two great ways to stay on track with our goals. Daily Feats provides an easy-to-use, fun platform that incorporates accountability (by logging feats and earning points) and community (by inviting friends and family to join your “team” and give you props for your good deeds). And all of your small feats? Well, Daily Feats believes they lead to positive social change.

Random Acts of Kindness Foundation
The jist? Be kind, pass it on.
“Change the world with kindness.“

If using an app to log your daily good actions isn’t up your alley—but you’d still like to think about what small changes you can make—the Random Acts of Kindness Foundation will inspire you to practice kindness.
Every day, RAOK posts a Kindness Idea on their website, Twitter and Facebook. You can share your kindness story and read others’ stories. There are also tools for educators to implement kindness ideas in the classroom, or bring ideas into your workplace. RAOK is a thriving community of do-gooders!
